studio

Kalli- Architecture & Design is an established RIBA Chartered architecture and design studio, founded by Maro Kallimani in 2018.

The practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality contemporary environments, with a design ethos centred on uncovering and articulating the latent aspirations and unexpressed visions of its clients. Each project begins with a confident and rigorous conceptual approach, evolving through a carefully considered and highly detailed process to achieve layered, refined outcomes that are both distinctive and responsive.

The studio places particular emphasis on the psychological and experiential qualities of space, especially within the context of the home. Through a process of attentive and empathetic engagement, Kalli – Architecture & Design seeks to understand each client’s needs and aspirations in depth. This insight informs a thoughtful analysis of the existing context and enables the transformation of ideas into coherent, bespoke architectural solutions.

A commitment to excellence underpins all aspects of the practice’s work. Strong design concepts are supported by meticulous technical development, ensuring a high level of precision and quality in execution. Drawing on extensive experience, the studio consistently delivers projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a high standard of service throughout every stage of the process.

Kalli – Architecture & Design operates with a clear focus on quality, accountability and professionalism. By maintaining close involvement and control across all project phases, the studio ensures integrity in its design outcomes. A deliberately selective approach to commissions allows for a high level of attention and care, reinforcing the practice’s reputation for delivering considered, high-quality architecture within a defined and discerning client base.

Process

Kalli- Architecture & Design provides a comprehensive range of architectural services structured in accordance with the Royal Institute of British Architects Plan of Work Stages 0–7. Our involvement spans the full project lifecycle, from initial briefing and concept development through to detailed design, statutory approvals, technical design, procurement, construction, and post-completion services.

Recognising that each project is unique, we adopt a flexible approach and tailor our services to suit the specific scope, programme, and requirements of each client. This ensures an appropriate level of engagement at every stage, whether delivering a complete end-to-end service or providing targeted support.

Central to our approach is the careful guidance of clients through the planning and construction process. We understand that this can often feel complex and demanding, and we place great emphasis on clear communication and transparency. At each stage, we outline key requirements, advise on additional consultant appointments where necessary, and establish realistic programmes and responsibilities.

Our role is to provide clarity, structure, and reassurance throughout, minimising uncertainty and enabling a smooth and well-managed process. By taking on this responsibility, we aim to create a positive and collaborative experience for our clients from inception to completion.
